Ask Tara Roehrs what she does at LaRoche Wealth Management, and she will say it’s a mix of responsibilities, difficult to categorize under one specific heading. She does indeed perform varied tasks ranging from client contact to back-office paperwork, yet all of them are in support of our mission to provide quality service to our clients. Like everyone on the team, Tara is cross-training to learning additional areas of our business, so that she can help clients even more.
Doing her job well has everything to do with follow-through. “I need to make sure that a step is completed one hundred percent, and then let the client and my team members know, too,” Tara explains. Going the extra mile so there’s no confusion or concerns requires excellent communication with her peers and our clients.
What Tara appreciates most about her work is the connection she feels to people. “We are a tight group, and Brian and April have such a deep connection with our clients,” she explains. “Our clients are genuine, sweet people, so when they refer people to us it’s typically to people just like themselves, which makes our job wonderful.”
With a background in customer service, Tara – who joined the firm in 2022- is well suited to working with people, even though she is new to the field of financial services. Tara is grateful for the guidance she receives from her colleagues. “Learning new things is exciting to me; there is absolutely nothing that is dull about this job…every day is different!”
Change is a running theme in Tara’s life. Growing up in a military family meant moving constantly – from Minnesota to Kansas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and now, Virginia, where Tara has lived since 2019 when her husband was stationed here. “Moving this much has offered me glimpses of life which have been eye-opening and beneficial to my growth,” she says.
In contrast to the movement in other arenas of her life, Tara finds relaxation in quiet activities like reading and embroidery. She finds joy in being a mom to a little boy and loves spending time with her family.
